Sexual Health Talk

Welcome to Between Us! This blog is between the blogger and the person reading it. This is a safe space for teens and young adults to read about sexually transmitted infections as well as other sexual health topics.

The main goal for Between Us is to make sexual health conversations normal. Lack of knowledge on STI’s and sexual health remains common within society. The efforts of this blog intends to reduce the amount of teens and young adults that are being diagnosed with STI’s. This is not only to decrease that amount, but to promote positive sexual health behavior as well. Through this journey of educating people through this blog I would partner with American Sexual Health Association (ASHA) because they are sex positive and they educate on difficult topics. Similarly, to this organization I want to see our society in the belief that sexuality is normal, healthy, safe, and positive in life.

According to Healthy People 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that there are approximately 20 million new STD infections each year—almost half of them among young people ages 15 to 24.
